Tanzania Mission Field

We praise God for His faithfulness and mercies over our lives and missions work in Tanzania all through the year.

Greetings from FMI Tanzania in the name of the Lord.

The church in Dar es salaam is making gradual shift

  • We have an average attendance of 25
  • The brethren had series of evangelism outreaches in the host community. There were several religious confrontations in the process but we took it up in prayers.
  • Regardless of all the Islamic oppositions among others, we have testimonies.
  • Four new converts were added to the fold and they are growing in the Lord.
  • A boy called Denis, who had hearing and speech challenges, was prayed for; the Lord touched him and he regained his hearing to the glory of God. But the speech is gradually coming back.
  • After Pastor Ajibola sent a word of prophecy to us that there will be divine help, an elderly woman with unpaid house rent was forgiven several months outstanding. Also, someone came to pay for Pastor Saheed’s house rent for a whole year.
  • We had a wedding ceremony between our brother Yusufu and sister Neema and it was a great experience of joy.
  • We are also going to have another very important wedding for our dear Sister Teresia, the Training Director and the missionary in-charge of our new center in Kilimanjaro. This wedding comes up on the 23rd  of December, 2023.

Needs:

  1. The Dar es Salaam church needs sound system – speakers, amplifier, mixer and microphones urgently.
  2. We need our own place of worship by 2023 in Jesus name. The rented place poses many challenges.
  3. Missions
  • Missions Outreaches:
  • In February 2022, we had a collaborative outreach with a local church to Babati district in Manyara Region. We had a seminar to strengthen christians in the community to reach out to the unreached.
  • There was another one in April in that same community to strengthen and follow-up with more equiping seminar. There was a great response from the people. We are looking forward to setting up a missions center there soon by the grace of God.
  • Discipleship
  • The LGL School for Disciples in Dar es Salaam
  • Eight christians enrolled from FMI and other ministries.
  • Four people qualified to graduate.
  • We planned their graduation for 17th of December 2022, but we had it on the 31st December.
  • The LGL School for Disciples in Tunduru District (Southern Tanzania)
  • Strategic Soul Winning and Discipleship has so far been the tool used by Pastor Daniel, who is reaching out to the Yao tribes in Tunduru town, due to dominance of Islam.
  • Five people were won to Christ and 6 Baptised in water. A Missions Fellowship is on to establish the fold.
  • 10 people were enrolled in the LGL School for Disciples
  • Five completed the training and graduated.
  • To the glory of God, three of the trainees were baptised in water.
  • Four of the graduands on the graduation day.
  • Registration:
  • In April, we received a letter from Homes Affairs of Tanzania that states that FMI documents were received and recognised in Tanzania and the registration process is ongoing.
  • MISSIONS INTERCESSION
  • We met every Friday by 10 a.m to intercede for nations and missionaries.
  • This year we had two special prayer conferences for missions in Dar es Salaam.
  • Though fewer number of christians from other churches attended than we expected but they were wonderful experiences in the presence of God.
  • The Apostolic Prayer Network was one of the most attended meetings we had, but reduction in attendance started when we had to change our ministry venue.
  • Nevertheless, the Lord used the APN Meetings to create revival for missions intercession among the brethren and especially brethren from other ministries who have little or no knowlegde of world evangelization.
  • Also, the Lord helped some to discover their spiritual gifts as some were delivered from demonic bondages.

PLANS FOR 2023

  1. We shall have Retreat for all FMI Tanzania workers quaterly to renew ourselves in God’s presence and will.
  2. There will be a Missions Conference by September 2023 (In that conference we will have the graduation of LGL School for Disciples in Dar es Salaam)
  3. We planned to have a Youth Conference for the Church.
  4. We will mobilize more Christians to pray for missions through at least three APN Prayer gatherings in the year.
