- This month is characterized by excessive indulgence and expenditure.
- Ask that the Lord will fan to flame the virtue of self control in you, your family and the church.
- Ask Him to show you ways in which He will have you and the church at large fulfill responsibilities, and even do what He will have you do, without unnecessary waste of time and resources.

- There are many people in our communities that have no aim in life but shiftless, purposeless, nerveless characterless, drifters without direction and plan-creatures, as it were, of circumstances. Many people do not have a strong purpose running through them which alone can unify and give meaning to their faculties and power. A chest of tools without a trade is of very little use. Imagine a building without a plan but a confused way of construction.
- Until a person selects a destination he cannot arrive. What God has written in a man’s brain and heart he must read and follow or he will never find life’s meaning or perform his allotted task.
