Observation: –
Everyone who has received grace has the Holy Spirit dwelling in his spirit. Whether the Lord can use him depends not on his spirit but rather on his total submission of the outward man. The difficulty with many is that their outward man has not been broken. There is not that blood-marked path, those wounds or scars. So God\’s Spirit is imprisoned within man\’s spirit and is not able to break forth. Sometimes our outward man is active, but the inward man remains inactive. The outward man has gone forth, while the inward man lags behind.
Application
- Apply this to some practical problems! Take preaching, for instance. How often we can be earnestly preaching—a well prepared, sound message—but inwardly feel as cold as ice. We long to stir others, yet we ourselves are unmoved.
- Take singing, for instance. How often we earnestly desire to stir others to worship –we urge them to sing, sing, come on you are not singing! But the problem is that we ourselves have never worshiped in secret and are cold inside!
- Take praying, for instance. How often we urge others to lift up the voice and pray but our own prayer is so shallow and has no utterance or inspiration. We shout pray! Pray! Pray! And the entire hall is cold and unmoved!
Prayer
Pray that there will be harmony in you as a child of God. We act out of Kairos time because we are out of harmony many, many times!
- Pray that we will not act out of time!
- Moses acted outside the boundaries of the Kairos of deliverance and killed the Egyptian. The power of God and the revelation of God are bound up in the Kairos time.
- There is something bound up in the season of fruitfulness. When Moses was not positioned inside the Kairos boundaries, the power needed to shake an empire did not flow.
- Pray that we will be willing and will completely depend on the Holy Spirit for leadership. (Is 30:21 ; Prov. 4:18 ; 2 Pet 1:19)
