The month of August is our 8^th month and named after Augustus Caesar, one of the emperors of the Roman Empire. The month of August is called ELUL (Neh 6:15). August is the sixth (6^th) month (Ezekiel 8:1-18; Haggai 1:1-15) from Israel New Year Day with reference to deliverance from Egypt. It is the last or twelfth (12^th) month of the Jewish civil calendar. This is a harvest season –a time to “reap”. Listen, repeat a TIME TO REAP. This is the season for reaping from your labour in prayer and other efforts. It is the beginning of harvest that goes into September which is the Jewish 7^th month of rejoicing. There is usually a Holy Convocation on the 1^st of ELUL and celebration of the completion the walls of Jerusalem on the 7^th of ELUL (Neh.12) Important things for this month.

On the 5^th of this month the Lord spoke to Zerubbabel and Joshua through the prophet Haggai concerning the building of the “latter house” On the 24^th day of the month He stirred up the remnant of the people to give themselves to the work of the house of the Lord-Hag.1. It was also on the 6^th day of this month that that Lord appeared to Ezekiel in great glory (Ezek. 8:1). And the Lord would say to you-:

\”If you want to go to a new level prophetically, there is a whole new birthing of the prophetic anointing and of My prophetic mantle. A new mantle of the prophetic is forming and being imparted. I am redefining the prophetic gift that flows from heaven through this Divine connection to you. You\’re not just going to come and dip your prophetic torch, but you will become a fire that will not go out! You will be a fire starter! The torch of revelation that I am bringing to and through you, will \’fire\’ many. You have been laboring in the prophetic vineyard, but now is the time to start producing prophetic wine.

\”I am teaching My people to decree a thing and watch a beginning occur. I see you in front of a mountain of solid granite. If you will decree the word I give you, the word will form and you\’ll go right on in and find treasure inside that mountain. Quit backing away from your mountain! Speak, and an opening will form! This will produce the treasures and the refreshing that you need. You will speak to the rock, you will speak to the hard situations, and you will speak to those things that seem difficult. When you speak, I will create a crack and begin a trickle! When you see the trickle, speak again and watch Me produce a greater flow. Speak again, and watch the gusher come forth! \”I am touching a place deep in My peoples\’ hearts. My touch will create an upheaval within you. Do not fear the unsettling that you sense! This is priming a new spring in you and causing the river of fire within you to arise. I am doing a final work of what I need to do, so you pour out to others in days ahead. New wine, like a river, rests deep within in you! Watch this new wine come forth!\” 

WERE YOU BORN IN AUGUST?

• Thank the Lord for the day you were born.
• Pray that every word of blessing that was spoken out loud or silently concerning your life will manifest fully in your life.
• Pray that every negative and ungodly word that was spoken over your life at its inception to birth will be obliterated by the voice of the blood of Jesus. Only what He has said, and what people have said that is in line with His purposes will operate in your life.
• Declare that you are entering into your lifestyle of ever increasing glory and awe
• Pray that on the day of your birth, The Lord will re-enact the covenant with creation on your behalf. He will speak to the heavens and the heavens will speak to the earth and the earth will bring forth its best for you – bread, wine and oil. Hos 2.18-21
• Pray that your star will rise and shine ever brighter. Anything that has hitherto tried to cover your star will be swept away by the Lord’s broom of destruction.

                 THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING

1. “There shall be showers of blessing.” This is the promise of love;

There shall be seasons refreshing, Sent from the Saviour above.

Thank the Lord because He made a decree concerning the moon that shall not pass away. Thus nature is held in balance because of these ordinances that are everlasting. The moon continues to mark seasons.
