We are in the last days. Many calamities and disasters that befell nations are enough to warn any discerning believer that indeed the time is short.
Many times, in the midst of the vicissitudes of fortune and seasons, we lose focus on this truth. Most sermons we listen to are focused on making us very comfortable with the earth and with no preparation for that Great Day of the Lord. The heavens remind us that there is a Day coming when your life will cease, when the whole creation will stand before the Judgment seat of the LORD. Will you be ready? Will your loved ones be ready?
Pray that the Lord will in this first month of the year, bring back to your mind the reality of that Day and the desire to be prepared. (Joel 2:1, Rev 20:11-15).
Scripture: Mark 10:43
In verse 43, Jesus made it very clear that there was a complete distinction between the operation of the world and the operation of His Kingdom. He declared in verse 43, “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.” “Great” is the Greek word meg-as. There is a big difference between using the anointing to serve and using the anointing to rule and build our own kingdom. Jesus made it clear that servants are the ones that get the true ‘mega’ ministries in the Kingdom, while in the world you can get a mega-ministry by using your authority against the church instead of for it. That is where we have the spiritual tyranny where leaders domineer, subdue and compromise.
