Elul: Hebrew Year 5777, August 23–September 20
Alphabet: YUD — appointed mercy from the hand of God
Characteristics: The month that “the King is in the field.” Approach Him and allow His countenance to shine on you. The month to fix what has been broken. The month to find your place in the company of the Lord. The month to run into the tower of might. The month of nurturing. Faith requires action. This is a month of spiritual service, organization, and management.
The 10th Hebrew alphabet is Yud stand . The pictogram is a hand. Understand that the Holy Spirit communicates in pictures. Yud is the right hand. The right hand of God is found frequently in the old Testament. The first is in Exodus 15:6. Your right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy. In the Hebrew there are 8 words in the sentence. The numeric value of all the letters is 1,386 = 3 x7 x 3 x 22. Whenever you see any of these numbers in prophecy they are significant, they are the seal of God in scripture or God’s water mark.
The right hand of God means strength, control and responsibility. The right hand of God is where sovereign power resides. By his right hand He is able to subdue and exercise authority in every matter and take charge wherever anything stands in His way.
Man is allowed by God to do certain things, he has power to do certain things but the problem with man is that he does do the things in line with the will of God. The first reference to a hand in the bible is in Genesis 3:22 where Adam and Eve sin and disobeyed God.
In the midst of this disobedience God saw that man might stretch out his hand to do something that might not be beneficial to him or God’s purposes. In order words man might exercise his free will or take action that is counter-productive.
man is capable of voice, make decisions and take action (3 things), all independent of God. That is what happened to Adam and Eve showing we are not puppets on string. God in His mercy puts restrains in place so that we cannot destroy ourselves. When have made Jesus our savior, God makes a way to bring all things into subjection to Jesus. Jesus rescued us out of darkness out of the hand of darkness and out of the world. He has sent the Holy Spirit to direct us and guide us as it is written in John 14:26.
Ephesians 1:21-22 shows that God has placed all authority in the hands of Jesus and Ephesians 1:20 shows that Jesus is seated at the RIGHT HAND of God and has the full authority of God. This season we are in corresponds to Yud and the numeric value of Yud is 10. And 10 in prophetic thought is that something is in FULL MANIFESTATION. For example 5 is the number for the grace of God and (5 x10) = 50 is the number for Jubilee- the time for slaves to be set free. If God is number 1 then 10 is the full manifestation of God. Eg, 1 = unit or unity x 10 = 10 = authority and power. This is exactly what the bible says about Jesus. The bible says in Col. 2:9 that in Christ dwells all the Godhead bodily. In John 14:7 Jesus alludes to the fact that anyone who has seen the Him has seen the father. To see Jesus is to see the father.
Exodus 15:6 -Your right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy.
Whosever has father has has the son-1 John 2:23. Yud is the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet and that speaks to us about Jesus though being in the form of God did not count it to be equal with God but He emptied Himself and humbled himself to the death of the cross. Yud is the only letter that does not touch the baseline. Jesus hung on the cross and rose from the grave yet he dwells by faith in the heart of men (in the earth) but also seated in heaven at the right hand of God.
The scripture prophesied that Jesus would sit at God’s right hand (Psalm 110). In Matt. 22:41-45 Jesus said David could not be speaking about another man but the Messiah and He was the Messiah. In Hebrew, right (hand) = ימין (value 110) Note: 37 + 73 = 110. Please note the 3 and the 7 recurrent numbers all over the bible as water mark of God Himself. This is the most often quoted old Testament scripture. This speak about Jesus and His is our LORD. He is our King. Into His hands God has committed all authority and all power. John 15:5 -apart from Him we can do nothing. In Him…By faith in Him….everything is possible. Mark 9:23.
Matt 26:64 … you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power ...
10 words οψεσθε τον υιον του ανθρωπου καθημενον εκ δεξιων της δυναμεως
Heb 1:3
When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high …
5×11 8×10
|—–||———-|
55 80 … εν δεξια … at right hand. These symmetric features we have just shown you is not coincidence but God perfect arrangement. This is to increase our faith when we approach the throne of grace or we confront issues.
In Genesis 1:1 in the original Hebrew there are 7 words! 7 is a prime number. The sentence are so mathematically symmetrical and amazing. There words are, 3 letters and 7 letters on both sides of the middle word. The numeric value of all these words are 2,702= 37 x 73!! These are also prime numbers. 3 and 77 and 37 and73 are numbers that show up frequently in the bible as a pattern both in the Old Covenant and the New Covenant in the Hebrew text and the Greek text!!
For example
“the only Son” in Hebrew- היחיד =37x 1×37
“the Feast of the Lord” -1 x 37 = חג יהוה
“Blessed” -37 x 6= 222- ברך -There are many other examples pointing ONLY to Jesus.
In the New Covenant we have similar examples.
Jesus in Greek is Ιησους and the numeric value is 37 x24 =888!
Christ, anointed one-Χριστος = 37x 40 = 1,480
Kingly or royal rule – βασιλεα = 37 x7 = 259.
Scripture – γραμμα = 37 x 5= 185.
In all these, please note that these are to confirm the authenticity of the scripture as from God written by so many and for so many years and yet so accurate.
This month of ELUL is when God is out (according to the old Testament thought is in the field and is most accessible especially soon after the backsliding of Israel He comes to stretch his hands of love and mercy to whoever will to him come.
Blessings for the Hebrew Month of Elul, August 23–September 20
The Sixth Month of the Hebrew Year 5777, August 23–September 20
Note: For many centuries it was customary to read Psalm 27 each day from the first day of Elul (August 1) until the end of the month. This psalm begins, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”
“The heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1). Also see Psalm 8:1–3. We look at the moon and the stars and want to know what glory of God they are declaring. They are declaring the redemptive plan of God into the earth realm and we need to walk in it. The heavens are a circuit (Psalm 19:6). You can picture this as the word of God encircling the earth. If we understand this and receive it, we can pull His word into the earth realm, in a manner of speaking. What is the redemptive plan of God for that month we’re entering into? We need to understand it and then walk it out.
The heavens get on a circuit; the word of God gets on a circuit. Earth also has circles around it. Psalm 19 talks about the word of God encircling the earth until we begin to pull it in and manifest it.
- Elul: Expect Lots of Reaping!
- The month of the tribe of Gad. When Gad was being born, Leah said, “A troop comes” (Gen. 30:11), which indicates increase let there be increase of faith. Also note Jacob’s blessing in Genesis 49:19, “Even though a troop will trample over him, he shall triumph.” This also indicates that this is a season of triumph and victory.
- The month to pray find your place in the order of camps or in the company of the Lord. This is often the head of the year (the beginning of Hebrew year often falls during this month). We shall be stepping into 5778 this September. Do not get involved in talking about so called “ember months”. Because of mistrust, many people miss their chance to find their place and they fail to connect. If you don’t deal with mistrust correctly, when the new window of opportunity opens, you will not connect and could miss the God-given opportunity. Mistrust of others is a sign of a root of rejection. It will prevent you from coming into the fullness and strength that you can get from others. Ask the Lord to help you deal with roots of rejection.
- The month of rewards. Rewards begin to manifest over what you have done. Think, “reward.” You will begin to reap what you have sown. If you constantly labor and never see the reward, you’ll get burned out. You need to know how to abound. (In Philippians 4:12, Paul said that he knew how to abound.) Also in these end times, let us remember the sowing-reaping cycle is rapidly speeding up.
- The month that the King is in the field. He is coming to visit us and to help us in our work and ministry. Approach Him and allow His countenance to shine upon you. There is an awe of God that we come into so He can pour Himself out upon us.
- The month of Hebrew alphabet letter yud [י]. Yud is connected to the number ten. Some of you have 10 in your life, but still lay hold on this significant month. It is the only letter that is suspended in midair; it indicates appointed mercy from the hand of God.
- The season in which the Lord is saying “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine” (Song of Sol. 6:3).
- A season to run into the tower of might—a strength greater than yours that can encompass you. You don’t have to be strong all the time (see Proverbs 18:10), but you can enter into His strength.
- A season for inner knowledge of peace to be activated. Always find time to “regroup” in order to be whole.
- The “point season” The understanding of the beginning so you can begin to reach your end.
- The season to fix what has been broken. (If He doesn’t tell you it’s fixable, let it go.)
- The season of complex systems beginning to be managed.
- A season of nurturing. This month is apostolic, just like Av. Whom are you looking after? Who is looking after you?
- The season where Rebecca gave birth to Jacob and Esau. Do you “birth” blessing, or something that God is going to hate later on? What are you contending for? What is contending for you?
- The season of the left hand—controlling the sense of action, and good or bad emotions. You need to be sure your emotions are in line with the bible. God gives us great ability to stand in the midst of emotional conflict and still abound. You don’t need to be someone who is unstable or unreliable. You have the ability to be a burden bearer. I notice that when you are heavy traffic in our country your emotions can really be tested, that is example of a season to nurture your emotion when you are tired or under pressure. Blessings as you receive, act and pray on the prophetic word.
