Read Matthew 18:1-5 -The twelve were always fighting among themselves over who was the greatest in the kingdom. They had relational issues and perhaps the root of some of their problems was over the issue of rejection. Past experiences can be a major impediment to accepting the truth of the Word. Their need for approval often caused rivalry and bickering. Does that sound familiar? Do we feel like acceptance by the Lord is something we have to fight for? When Ephesians says we are accepted in God’s Family that points to something important. It points to a healing of pain we experienced from human rejection and walking into God\’s full and complete acceptance. If we cannot get beyond this point, we cannot grow into the fullness of what God has for us. We have to settle the issue of the fact that we are accepted into a position in God’s Family and it is incumbent on us to find out what that is.
- Have you often been tormented or seen great suffering because of the works of the enemy? There is a season when all of it will be over.
- The pain, the death, the destruction will come to an end both in your lifetime, and ultimately when the causer of all pain – the devil himself will be removed and all of creation will go back to its original order before sin entered the earth.
- Praise the Lord for this hope and assurance that we have in His divine justice against all evil and unrighteousness. Proclaim these blessings over your life and family for this new year Numbers 6:23-26.
