Read John14: 22-23 say, “Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, ‘Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?’ Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’” Mon-ay, the same word that appears in verse 2, is mentioned here. God, by the Holy Spirit, takes up residence in us! We are His dwelling place. And with His dwelling comes acceptance, a gifting, a calling, and works that He ordained for us before the foundations of the world. The Holy Spirit’s job is to help us walk those works out. As we read the book of Ephesians and start to soak in its truth, we learn to walk in the Spirit so we can walk in our gifting and calling and do the works He ordained. He came out of heaven to live inside of us and the Holy Spirit will lead us into everything God has ordained for us to do. We are God\’s dwelling place. Let’s believe it and do all we are called to do in Jesus’ name!
- We are in the last days and have a role to play in destroying the works of the devil and setting men free. But if are not sure of our place and act our faith we will be troubled like ordinary people.
- Many times, amid the vicissitudes of fortune and seasons, we lose focus on this truth. Most sermons we listen to are focused on making us very comfortable with the earth and with no preparation for that Great Day of the Lord. The heavens remind us that there is a Day coming when your life will cease, when the whole creation will stand before the Judgment seat of the Lord. Will you be ready? Will your loved ones be ready?
- Pray that the Lord will in this first month of the year, bring back to your mind the reality of that Day and the desire to be prepared. (Joel 2:1, Rev 20:11-15).
- Pray for the Body of Christ to preach more about the second coming of the Lord, not to redeem, but to judge.
