Scripture: Isaiah 11:1-4

Isaiah 11:1-4 states, “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.” Wow! So much for tradition! We know Who this is by reading verse 1. “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse.” Jesse was King David’s father, and the Rod, Who is Christ, is promised to us here. Christ is the One who comes from the root of King David with the Spirit resting upon Him. And with Him comes the seven different manifestations of the Holy Spirit. This is New Testament in the Old! And this Word says, “His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.”

Today @ 6:50 p.m. is the full moon.

  • Thank the Lord for all creative ways people have thought to name the full moon to signify passage of times and advent of various events.
  • Praise the Lord because each full moon belongs to Him and He is the one who knows what must occur during the passage of each full moon.
  • Pray that during this last full moon of the winter season, the Lord will bring to full circle areas that have remained incomplete in your life, and in the Body of Christ. Where there is need for completeness in the work of your hands, in clarity of vision and understanding of the times, in finding closure to various areas of trauma, ask that in this season of full moon, there shall be a sense of completeness and satisfaction in the lives of kingdom citizens all over the world.
  • At full moon, the agents of the kingdom of darkness indulge in sexual, sacrificial, transactional and other orgies that are sacrilegious. Proclaim Micah 5:12-15; Nah 3:1-12
  • Command the full moon to praise the Lord and do only His bidding. Pray that during that time, the waters of your body will remain stable; the moon will not strike you by night but will bring forth its best for you (Psalm 121:5-6).
