Scripture: Daniel 3:8
Taking our place as a son or daughter of God means facing persecution for Who we represent! Daniel 3:8-11 says, “Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and accused the Jews. They spoke and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever! You, O king, have made a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the gold image; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” In verses 13-18 Nebuchadnezzar was in a rage and fury because of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego. The king threatened them with death in a fiery furnace. They replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Is it possible we will face evil, godless commands in the last days? Every place Islam gains a foothold Christians are persecuted. Yes, we must know this Jesus Who gives us the authority and the anointing to stand in the face of death itself and stay faithful to Him. Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego did. Daniel did. I trust that you and I are in the same place. Isaiah 11:1-4 says that we can grow to the place where our words will slay the wicked! The Bible clearly identifies the wicked in Scripture by declaring the death penalty for their actions. How will we respond when facing those ‘worthy of death?’
- The Passover and feast of first fruits, are festivals of hope and new life. The Passover commemorates the establishment of God’s covenant with the Israelite community. Pray that the covenant of life and peace will be activated in your life that there will be hope for the future. (Mal 2:5-7, Ezekiel 37:26, Zechariah 1:17).
- The blood of the Lamb was painted on the door posts to cover the Israelites during the night of the Passover. Pray that the blood of Jesus that speaks better things should speak deliverance, healings (Physical and spiritual) and restorations into God’s divine plan, wealth and health over your life, your family, the kingdom citizens, your nation and continent. (Heb 12:24)
- Pray that this month there will be a Passover experience for the people of God and that believers will experience in a personal unique way the deliverance of the Lord in this season of judgement. Exodus 12:27
- Pray that just as God filled His people with joy and changed the attitude of their oppressors to favour them, God will similarly cause our adversaries and circumstances to favour us. (Ezra 7:22, Ex11:3,12:36).
