Liaison with the descendants of Lot contributed to the downfall of Israel

1 Kings 11:2-7, 32-24 A few hundred years after the Baalam incident King Solomon would choose to marry Moabite women. These women seduced Solomon to worship their false God\’s and erect high places. Solomon’s relationship with the descendants of Lot and his subsequent worship of their idols led directly to the division of the kingdom into the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah. This liaison with the descendants of Lot contributed to the downfall of Israel. Moab used the same pattern as originated by Lot’s daughters and they brought the wrath of God on covenant Israel. It is no wonder God banned them from the congregation forever, which was unusual. It shows a persistent, determined enemy and their origin. Do we see the doctrine of Balaam today? Yes, championed consistently by some people whose world view increasingly rejects Bible morality as it applauds God-hating, God-mocking and God-robbing. The spirit of anti-Christ dominates educational, judicial, and increasingly commercial institutions as well!
- Declare Isa 45.2-3 that in this season Jehovah will go ahead of you, make a way where there seem to be no way, deliver you from every bondage, even the legal right bondages that the enemy may lay claim to through ancestral wickedness, curses and self-inflicted bondage (Isa 49.24-26).
- Pray that the Lord will release for you treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, He will make streams flow in the desert for you.
