The promise is, nobody can take us out until we have finished our race!
Scripture: Matthew 10:21-22
These verses declare that a war is coming and may even come to our own house. The key is, will
we endure to the end? Some believers are going to be martyred in the last days. We need to
prepare for that. The promise is, nobody can take us out until we have finished our race! It was
true of Jesus and it will be true of us. One of the most exciting seasons in the Bible is the season
of the revealing of the Two Witnesses mentioned in Revelation. Currently it looks like the world
is adopting anti-Christ positions galore. As things get really, really bad and persecution
increases, God will come and anoint His witnesses. Then God will anoint and empower them and
no one can take them out prematurely. God will sustain them until they have finished their race.
The heat and fire of persecution come with a promise stated in verse 22. “But he who endures to
the end will be saved.” We persevere and endure because it is necessary. This is nothing we
shoulder alone. We do it out of relationship with our Daddy!
Prayer
The King of Tyre, Jezebel and Athalia were all Baal worshippers – involved in idolatry, the cult of
fertility, sensuality, and child sacrifice. This things have not died. The issue is Kingly seed. Jezebel\’s
daughter or sister-in-law, married King of Judah, tried to control future seed by killing all possible heirs
using political system usurping authority. Baal worshiper (idolatry fertility, sensuality, child sacrifice).
Athaliah is after your kingly seed & future inheritance. Whenever you say, “I am not good enough,” or “I
can\’t do this” because of your past. Whenever you don\’t receive affirmation because of your past life.
Whenever you trade the present for the future though sin.
