The Reasons That We Should Spend Time Praying

Scripture: Luke 21:8

Luke 21;8 says, “And He said: “Take heed that you are not deceived. For many will come in My name saying, ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore, do not go after them. “

One characteristic of an apostolic community is prayer. Mighty prayers. He -The Holy Spirit, witnesses truth to our hearts. One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit is to separate truth from fiction. That is one of the reasons that we should spend time praying. We should never neglect praying in the spirit. By doing so we will pray out the mysteries of God. He will separate truth from fiction. Probably the greatest insurance policy that we have in life is praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit releases the discernment of the Holy Spirit. I am stunned by the number of Christians who lack discernment

A number one warning in the New Testament is don’t be deceived. How many Christians are deceived because they have not cultivated a relationship with the Father and a purposeful knowing of the Word. Who in their right mind chooses to vote for what will kill them? The number one warning in the New Testament is don’t be deceived. Anyone who calls themselves a Christian who votes for anti-Bible leaders or policies better check their discernment.

  • Lord, I praise You because Your Word has promised: \”The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God\” (Ps. 98:2-3.).
  • Father, I praise You because \”from everlasting to everlasting the LORD\’S love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children\’s children\” (Ps. 103:17).
