Deception Induces Us to believe We Can Embrace Actions Without Consequences.
Scripture: Galatians 6:7
Galatians 6:7 is another verse that is both short and power-packed! It says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” If we sow to the flesh, we reap corruption. The definition of the Greek word translated corruption is to become a decaying dead dog. The picture here is clear. In November 2021 someone called me from Zimbabwe about a young man who had become mentally depressed and was about to be sacked from his medical work being a medical doctor. On further inquiry, I was told that he had friends who chose to smoke “wewe” (marijuana). He joined them to smoke! Certain, choices against God’s Word and Spirit result in death. The young man touched death from the day he started smoking that substance. Within 3 days (by Phone), we took him step by step. The first day after prayer I was told he slept. He was delivered and healed. I then directed that he should be taken to a river for water baptism. And be followed up properly. He was dying gradually from the day he touched death.
Only genuine repentance will save us! If we turn away from reading the will and testament of God, we find ourselves living without it. The line between right and wrong becomes blurred. Deception induces us to believe we can embrace actions without consequences, but as mature believers we can’t. Often before we can recover, consequences unfold, and adversity multiplies until destruction reigns. Many Christian marriages have ended because of this path!
‘Lord, help us recover all You have ordained for us. What eye hath not seen nor ear heard, reveal to us in the days ahead and prepare us for the promised revival!’
Yielding to the Holy Spirit brings all choices into a review. Let’s remember, we were bought with a price. Our life is not our own. How many deceived believers believe that their life is their own and they can do what they want to do when they want to do it? Their lives may have fallen away to a drastic point, yet they do not see that they risk their salvation. Once saved always saved is a doctrine that encourages loose behavior! In Revelations 3:5 to the church at Sardis, Jesus says, “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out His name from the Book of Life…”
