The character trait of steadfastness or perseverance is required
Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18
Ephesians 6:10-18 encourages us to pursue the power of God at four levels. Each level
requires an application of the cross which results in a measure of Christ’s character formed in
us. Dunamis in any measure can easily foster spiritual pride but servanthood when chosen
replaces it. One manifestation of that servant attitude is the call to put on the whole armour of
God. God’s purpose appears to be intercessory. The character trait of steadfastness or
perseverance is required. Steadfastness seems to be a word that most describes what God is
demanding in this season. Many years of carrying vision reach their final stages of frustration
in an hour when non-performance characterizes our past walk with the Lord. During such a
trial, the number one survival ingredient is the refusal to quit. Christ-like character is being
formed! Jesus ENDURED THE CROSS and won.
Prayer: That you and I will always endure any situation and win. Pray that you be a
partaker of His suffering to inherit His glory.
