A Man of Faith:
Scripture Gen. 6:9-14
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark…. Genesis 6:9-14…. Notice that with one lone exception, no one on earth was thinking the thoughts of God. Other than Noah, no one was following the kind of continuous lifestyle of faith that God had instituted when He created Adam and Eve. Instead, the thoughts of men and women were continually evil. They had turned themselves over totally to carnal mindedness, which the Scriptures tell us is spiritual death. (Rom. 8:6.) In the whole world there was only one man who was perfect, one man who was walking in fellowship with God and in dominion over the earth as God had intended.
PRAYER
Conquering the Thought Life
In the name of Jesus, I take authority over my thought life. Even though I walk (live) in the flesh, I am not carrying on my warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. The weapons of my warfare are not physical, but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds. I refute arguments, theories, reasonings, every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the (true) knowledge of God; and I lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. With my soul I will bless the Lord with every thought and purpose in life. My mind will not wander out of the presence of God. My life shall glorify the Father — spirit, soul, and body. I take no account of the evil done to me — I pay no attention to a suffered wrong. It holds no place in my thought life.
