The Lord is Working in our Season
Scripture: Matthew 24:1,2
In response to the disciples being enamoured with the accomplishments of the temple
buildings, Jesus makes a very clear and divergent statement. He says, “Do you not see all
these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall
not be thrown down.” This dramatic statement by the Lord points us to an issue of times,
seasons and generations. When the Lord comes to do a work in a generation, and that
generation has its heart set on spiritual satisfaction – or going another direction, their attitude
forces God to remove all hindrances to His purpose, will and plan. We should ask ourselves
what is so valuable we could not abandon it changing direction if God were to move
dramatically. There seems to be a religious blindness that apparently comes from tradition
which makes it very difficult to break through into what God desires. This was the issue of
the season in which Jesus ministered in Israel.
PRAYER
Jesus is Lord over my spirit, my soul, and my body (Phil. 2:9-11). Jesus has been
made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. I can do all
things through Christ Who strengthens me (1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 4:13). The Lord is
my shepherd. I do not want. My God supplies all my need according to His riches
in glory in Christ Jesus (Ps. 23; Phil. 4:19). I do not fret or have anxiety about
anything. I do not have a care (Phil. 4:6; 1 Pet. 5:6,7). I am the Body of Christ. I
am redeemed from the curse, because Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my
diseases in His own body. By His stripes I am healed. I forbid any sickness or
disease to operate in my body. Every organ and every tissue of my body functions
in the perfection in which God created it to function.
