Declarations into the womb of January 2017

This is the prayer or blessing guide for Tevet, the tenth month of the 5777 year. It has 29 days. Be blessed as you read, pray through, and declare these blessings for yourself and your family.

  1. Month of the tribe of Dan. Dan is linked with judging, growing up and maturing. See Genesis 49:16–18. Samson came from the tribe of Dan (see Judges 13). Samson didn’t mature, and therefore didn’t reach his potential. God wants us to be able to judge/lead, and to be able to cause the enemy to fall backward. Unlike Samson, God wants us to grow up and mature. Declare that you are maturing.
  2. Samson’s weakness was an inability to say no to his flesh; he put his desires above his vows and his calling. As a Nazirite, he was to never cut his hair or eat anything unclean (Judges 13:4–5). He broke his vows when he ate honey taken out of a lion’s carcass (14:9). Likewise, he should have run from Delilah, but his flesh kept him coming back. Gradually, she wore down his resistance to telling her the truth. He finally told her that he was a Nazirite and that his hair had never been shaved (Judges 16:10–21). His great gifting did not have the impact it could have. Declare that God is gifting you, and that you take that gifting seriously. Ask Him to cleanse and purify you so there are no fleshly hindrances to obstruct you from fulfilling your God-given destiny.
  3. Ending the celebration of the victory over the Maccabees who were miraculously defeated by the Jews. In the midst of destruction there is mercy. (This festival means “the light will not go out.” It was celebrated in the belief that the destroyed temple would be rebuilt.) No matter what the problem may be, God has a way to impart mercy to build for the future. Look at every difficult situation you are in right now and declare that God has mercy and light for you in the midst of those circumstances.
  4. A month to war with the evil eye and break the power of evil watchers. (If you don’t break it, it will try to guide you). The “evil-eye structure” is embedded in our culture, and it allows evil spirits to manipulate people more easily. As we gather together this night and January 1 for the Kingdom Economic Commonwealth Day, we will participate with the angels and we can forge ahead. Note the passage in Acts 13 where Elymas the sorcerer hindered Barnabas and Paul. Paul prayed, and the Lord struck Elymas with blindness. Similarly, we can pray and ask the Lord to close the eyes of the enemy so that we are not hindered. Also, Elisha prayed for the eyes of his servant to be opened, and then he was able to see the angelic army protecting them. Elisha prayed again and the enemy army was blinded.
  5. Pray for the commander-in-chief. Many strategies begin to be released at this time, as well as in April and in July. God gives us people to lead and guide. We need to pray for them. A good leader will give us revelation. Be sure to pray for your spiritual covering, as well as for the political leaders of your nation.
  6. Review your education, or what is initiating you into your next phase. Sign up for the new courses in the School for Prophecy, or get some sort of training if you need it. Make sure you are advancing and moving ahead, following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  7. “Be angry, and do not sin” (Ephesians 4:26). There’s a fine line to walk. If you cross over into sin, your soul gets damaged and the promises of God will not manifest. In Ephesians 4:26–27, anger is equated to being demonized. Note the suddenness of anger. If we do not learn to process it properly, so our emotions are under control of the Holy Spirit, we will “erupt” and fail when the test comes. Be angry and sin not. Get over it before nightfall. Deal with your anger. God will give you the opportunity. When you have time, deal with it. For example, if you are currently unemployed, then spend extra time pouring the word of God into you, and building yourself up.
  8. Pray that you would have hind’s feet on high places (2 Samuel 22:34; Psalm 18:33; Habakkuk 3:19). God is enabling us to go to higher and higher places in Him. Declare that you are moving up.
  9. Time to leap like a goat (deer). We all have areas of immaturity. Often, we think of maturing as a very slow process. But, we can “leap” quickly to a state of maturity. God wants us to “leap” out of any areas of immaturity. It’s also a chance every year to share your testimony. Did you get offended last year—is it still the same this year? Isaiah 35:6 states “the lame shall leap like a deer.” And in Psalm 18:33, we see that “He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.”
  10. Month of Hebrew letter ayin [ע], which looks like a “y.” It means, “let your good eye see.” “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Purity of heart leads to a purity of the eyes of our heart (the good eye).
  11. The created the physical organ-the liver to purify our physical system. Proverbs 7:23 talks about a dart in the liver (when the young man gave in, to sexual temptation). Sexual sin will affect your liver. We can trust God to purify us by the blood of Jesus. Think of it as His blood entering your own blood stream and cleansing you of spiritual impurities that may be there because of your bloodline or on account of your own sin. When the liver is purified, the brain and heart also function properly.
  12. A month to fast. Make a commitment to either a full, partial, or a Daniel fast. Think about Samson. Had he fasted, he might have gained the spiritual strength to avoid temptation. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul states, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
