Tamar, By Obeying The Leadership Of The Spirit, Obtained Her Promise By Faith Scripture: Matthew 1:1-3
In Matthew 1:1-3, we are looking at the lineage of Christ and we are told in verse 3, “Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram.” These are all in the lineage of King David, and all the way down to Joseph. Tamar, by obeying the leadership of the Spirit, obtained her promise by faith. When she asked for a pledge, she exposed the sin and brought repentance. Because of her willingness to walk in faith toward her promise of raising up an heir, she is included in the lineage of Christ. Talk about the power of covenant and ar-hrab-ohn! God knows the circumstance and situations that you and I are going to face in the last days. He knows what is needed to confront the sin around us. He knows how to shine the spotlight on what is ahead. So the question is, have we come to the Kingdom for such a season as this? Is our eternal purpose concealed in the inheritance of God, administered by the Holy Spirit? Yes, it is! Are you and I willing to pay the price to walk it out? Obeying the Spirit gains the promise!
