Our Loyalty may be Measured Way Above What It Really Is!
Scripture: Matthew 12:34
Jesus said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Self-righteousness often exists where we consistently judge ourselves above others! Peter was doing that but so were the twelve! They all declared their loyalty way above what it really is! This passage says, “Peter answered and said to Him, ‘Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.’ Jesus said to him, Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster, you will deny Me three times. Peter said to Him, ‘Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!’ And so said all the disciples.” What does that tell us about the disciples? This shows self-righteousness to the max. The very thing that they just declared set them up to be delivered because their denial of Christ finally broke the giants of pride within them. This was their pinnacle failure and it was what it took to baptize them in humility.
Special Prayers
The sun in January passes through a cluster of 108 stars in the constellation called Aquarius symbolized by the water bearer. This Represents Jesus who went away (in His death) and has come again (in His resurrection).
“Their blessing ensured\” or \”The living waters of blessing poured forth for the redeemed.” Jesus paid the price for atonement and has procured the blessings which can be bestowed and poured forth upon the redeemed.
The constellation is pictured in the heavens by a man (Jesus) pouring forth water from an urn which seems to have an inexhaustible supply and flows forth downward into the mouth of a fish (the redeemed) which receives it and drinks it all up.
This is the period of extreme fruitfulness and knowledge where Jesus will pour upon the redeemed so much water of His Spirit and word that both spiritually and physically barren situations and people have opportunity to become abundantly fruitful. . (Isa 44:3, Isa 41:18)
- Ask the Lord to forgive you and be a source water hole. You have filled up from His fountain of life but those holes in your life are yet to allow the precious things of God flow out of your life. Ask that the Lord will reveal those actions, characteristics and lifestyle that have created hinderances in you as a vessel so that you are unable to retain a lifestyle that pleases God even though you are exposed to His life giving Spirit and Word. (Jer 2:13, Psa 36:9)
