FRIDAY, JULY 31

Today @10:44 a.m. is the full moon.

 Read- Eph. 2:10:

Paul launches out from the understanding that we are not saved by works in order to fortify the truth that we are the Lord\’s workmanship, and not our own. In the world “self-made” men and women are esteemed, but not so in Christ. Our goal is to be fashioned and established by the grace of God, not our own efforts. In this way we are “His workmanship,” devoted to becoming what He wants us to be.

After declaring that we are not saved by works, Paul then states that we are nevertheless created for “good works.” There is a difference between doing good works in order to gain acceptance and doing good works from the position of having God\’s acceptance. We are not working in order to gain approval, but because we love the One who loved us, saved us, and works through us.

When we begin to comprehend that we are Christ\’s workmanship, that He is actually using everything in our lives, we understand that nothing happens in our lives that is not allowed by God for our perfecting. He is the Potter, and we are the clay. We are spinning on the Potter\’s wheel of life and the events of our life are His hands shaping us. Our goal should be to become easy for Him to work with by not resisting His dealings in our lives, and by allowing ourselves to be shaped by them.
