What fruit does God want us to bring into eternity with us?
Genesis 45:13-23
Genesis 45:13-23 In verse 13 Joseph said, “So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.” In verses 17-23 the message to the sons of Jacob was, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan. Bring your father and your households and 7 come to me; I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land. Now you are commanded— do this: Take carts out of the land of Egypt for your little ones and your wives; bring your father and come. Also do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’ Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them carts, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave them provisions for the journey. He gave to all of them, to each man, changes of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments. And he sent to his father these things: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father for the journey.” Joseph became the redeemer. What are we to become? What fruit does God want us to bring into eternity with us? Is this pattern unfolding in our life? Probably it is, to one degree or another. Let God show us and let’s walk it out without bitterness or defeat. Then we like Joseph will eventually be able to say, “For God sent me before you to preserve life.”. That is an eternal truth worth living!
- In this season of key Feasts of the Lord, pray that many Jews worldwide who are earnestly seeking for the Messiah, will find that Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of every feast.
- Ask the Lord to cause them to have encounters with Him, during the feast days, and that many will have the veil lifted off their face, to behold the Messiah Jesus Christ for who He truly is – the awaited Messiah
- Pray for those Jews – the natural olives who had been cut off so that you could be grafted in shall not perish in your generation but will come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah (Rom 11).
- “O give not the soul of your dove to the hawk; let not the life of the poor go out of your memory for ever. Keep in mind your undertaking; for the dark places of the earth are full of pride and cruel acts. O let not the crushed be turned back in shame; let the low man and the poor give praise to your name. Up! O God be the judge of your cause; keep in mind the bitter things which the man of evil behavior says against you every day. Keep in mind the voice of your haters; the outcry of those who come against you goes up every day.” Psalm 74:19-23 (Bible in Basic English (BBE).
- Ask for the peace of Jerusalem.
