POSSESSING YOUR FUTURE
Today’s generation I would say is short sighted. After 40 years in preaching, I have come to see that God is generational. God’s speaks about your children; your seeds’ seed and the need for you to be expectant of the future and a hope.
God plans generationally. In Hebrews 7:9 we see Abraham giving his tithes (not under the law) and the word of God says that Levi paid tithes even while in Abraham’s loins. You notice that Abraham had Isaac and Isaac had Jacob and Jacob had Levi – so you see that the 4th generation right there been affected by what Abraham did.
God sees the events in the future that we do not see. Let me ask you as a Nigerian, what is going to happen to Nigeria by 2019 or 2020 that only God himself knows and nobody else knows? Will there be another series of unrest, violence, or militancy group? Will we have a new President or an old one will be reelected? Which states will produce the greatest upsets in governorship elections?
We are a nation of so many things happening on top of each other that we soon forget what was the last national issue? Did Gowon know about the civil war coming? Did Gowon know he will be overthrown? Did Muritala know he would be killed and Obasanjo would take over? Who knew there will be a search for lost oil money under Buhari at his first coming? No one saw that NADECO would be such a headache for Abacha.
There was the issue of Sharia Boko Haram just beginning under Obasanjo civilian rule. Then the illness of Ya’ardua that took his life. Only God could fathom that a Goodluck Jonathan would be president.
There are several leaders of different types in any nation but if you take the political leaders for instance, you find that the higher they are on the ladder, it seems the more corruption increases. This is because in the book of Ephesians 6, we know that there are hierarchies-ladders, orders in rankings of principalities, powers etc. Principalities are called governments with strong spirits behind earthly governments. In Daniel 10 there was the prince of Greece and another of Persia that were involved in a battle concerning and answer to Daniel’s prayers. In the attack on Jesus after His baptism and during His 40-day fast, Satan said “if you bow to me, I will give the rule over the nations because that was delivered to me and I deliver it to whomsoever I will.”
We know that this happens that Satan tries to control nations and peoples and will try to fill people into positions of authority over businesses, educational institutions, churches, media, entertainment etc. He does this to stop the will of God from taking place. Please note that though things might be delayed but in the end the will of God will be done.
IMPUNITY
There is corruption in our nation. Political corruption. Monetary corruption. Moral corruption. And many in our nation do it with impunity, however the word of the Lord came to me clearly saying “the unjust shall never go unpunished what a man or woman sows that shall he reap.” These people will be exposed others will use media and cabals to cover things up, but they will certainly be exposed.
Jesus said in Luke 8:17 “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Luke 12: 2. It is a proverbial and parabolic expression, it is applied against hypocrisy, or the concealing of naughty and corrupt hearts under the vizor and disguise of demure looks, or fair conversation. In the day of judgment sinners shall walk naked, and men shall see their shame; God will in that day make known all the secrets of men\’s hearts, to be sure the secrets of all their hearts, whose iniquities are not forgiven, and whose sins are not covered.
You have to make up your mind in the coming days that no matter how powerful you may seem to be, whether secular or spiritual if you hide your corruption and you are so powerful in bribing media and all manner of people, let it be known to you that you will be exposed. The thing to do is repent and stay repentant and do the will of God.
God Can Make Any President His Servant.
I can remember several elections in Nigeria and some of these were a Muslim/Muslim ticket or a Christian/Muslim. This was always to satisfy and balance religious expressions across the nation. Many nations look up to the US especially the politics, economics, the dollar etc. But Christians and blacks in the US seems to be very humorous. Mitt Romney ran against Obama. Now, Mitt is a Mormon and evangelicals do not believe in the Mormon’s book, but Mitt was a good moral man and well-disciplined but the Christians (many of them- and many did not vote at all) and most blacks voted for Obama. In 8 years Obama changed the face of the earth through the legalization of gay marriages, Planned Parenthood got away with many atrocities and many know what happened in the Supreme Court. Christians became a ridicule.
Even in Africa we were carried away by oratorical skills! Not by kingdom agenda and considerations.
In Nigeria’s 2015 elections the South West (who are majorly Christians) put a president in Aso Rock villa with their votes and spiritual authority. Many born again persons voted against Goodluck Jonathan. Today, we see the war going on as principalities and powers battles to try to destroy the believers in the land.
I personally believe that the present Nigerian president has gone through a season of trial especially having been hospitalized for some time while in office.
In the next election, we must not behave as if we are electing a pastor into Aso Rock Villa but a civil leader in a democracy. The activities of the present government should guide all believers to know how to cast their votes. What the present government did, are doing and what they did not do or pretended to be doing and all the hidden things must be considered before we cast our votes. We must elect someone who will best represent biblical principles and the ethics of our faith not people who will do violence to our faith.
A spirit of lawlessness has overtaken this world hence we see people rioting over solid historical facts such as Jerusalem being the eternal capital of the Jewish people. Watch in the coming days as the goat nations and sheep nations gather together.
We must always consider the future of a person and not their present circumstances in electing leaders. The way God sees a person is different from what man thinks. For example, Nebuchadnezzar was a king that invaded Jerusalem, Juda and Israel. He destroyed the Temple and took away all the vessels of worship to Babylon. He made slaves of Jews and took them away in droves to Babylon. These were in Babylon for 70 years! It is obvious that he was a wicked man but think about this man after he was judged and suffered a mental break down. He returned to his senses and after a series of events became another man who surrounded himself with the Hebrew children as councilors and advisers.
Hear what God said about this man ever before this time:
‘Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolation’ (Jeremiah 25:9).
Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, Kings and princes are the great instruments of Providence with respect to human affairs. Some of them God raises up to be executioners of his judgments upon sinful people; such was he of whom God saith, Ho 13:11, \”I gave thee a king in mine anger.\” Such was Nebuchadnezzar here spoken of, whom God calls his \”servant,\” because he \”wrought for him,\” as God speaks concerning him, Eze 29:20; that is, he executed God\’s judgments upon Tyre; God making use of his ambition and desire of conquest, and prospering his arms, in order to the punishment of the neighbouring countries for their sins: see a like instance in the king of Assyria, whom God calls \”the rod of his anger,\” Isaiah 10:5.
I believe with all my heart that God has a remnant such as the 7000 that have not yet bowed the kneel to the idols of this world.
Almighty God so orders the devices of men by his overruling providence, as to make them subservient to his everlasting counsels: for \”all things serve him,\” Ps 119:91. Happy, thrice happy they, that do Him voluntary service; that can say with David, and in his sense, \”Behold, O Lord, how that I am thy servant,\” Ps 116:16; that have devoted themselves faithfully, and accordingly exert their endeavours to do Him true and laudable service, by obeying his revealed will. But certainly, whether they will or not, though they think of nothing less, they shall serve Him to the furthering and accomplishing of his secret will. As we find \”My servant David\” often, as his servant in one respect, so we sometimes meet with \”My servant Nebuchadnezzar,\” as his servant in the other.
Consider what God sees in a person that you don’t see.
Consider the ability of God to change a person’s heart.
Consider a person who surrounds himself with godly voices that can influence them for God and in a positive way.

The Six Stages of Social Deception
Social Deception very often is a process by which wrong becomes right, and right becomes wrong. It’s a complete paradigm shift of opinions, standards and morals that is achieved softly, subtly and often takes a generation to entrench into society. Those who engineer it are very deliberate and structured in their approach.
If you want to know what I am talking about, find out your mother’s views on things like sexuality and marriage and compare them with yours. The contrast in opinions does not necessarily prove that she is old and antiquated; it may instead prove that you have been deceived.
There are six stages of Social Deception.
The SHOCKER stage
The OUTRAGE stage
The DISCUSSION stage
The TOLERANCE stage
The ACCEPTANCE stage
The VENERATION stage
If I wanted to popularize the most unimaginable thing in our society, say like bestiality (the practice of having sex with animals). I would follow these steps. I would select a forerunner to drop the SHOCKING message on an unsuspecting public. “It is okay and we shouldn\’t have problems having sex with animals,” he would announce on radio, TV or in a newspaper. That is the SHOCKER; the bombshell, so to speak.
It would inevitably be followed by OUTRAGE. The forerunner is abused and demonized by the bewildered public. Every respected leader in society comes out to slam the lamentable reprobate who dared suggest something so obnoxious. The forerunner defiantly defends the practice. His critics come out even more scathing. But the forerunner knows exactly what he is doing. He is setting an agenda. Many people don’t understand the effect of continuous exposure on the human mind.
I will give an example most of you will understand. If you ask a girl out and she is not interested in you, the best thing she can do for herself is stay away from you or your words. If she continues listening to you, what was initially unthinkable becomes worth a consideration, then acceptable. Many ladies have fallen for guys they swore never to date just because they didn’t understand the law of continuous exposure.
Once the bestiality message reaches the third stage; DISCUSSION, the forerunner has done his job. At this stage there is a big debate over bestiality; with most people still slamming it, not knowing that they are falling into a trap.
It is a known fact that homosexual groups abroad were giving money to people fighting homosexuality in Uganda. Then they would also fund those pushing for it. Initially it didn’t make sense. Until understanding came about how deception works. What they wanted was to keep the subject of homosexuality in public debate. They know exactly what they were doing. The more people are exposed to it through discussion, the more it becomes less obnoxious in their minds.
That leads to the next stage: TOLERANCE. At this stage people say: “I am not going to have sex with animals, but if someone chooses to do it, shauri yake (that’s his problem). Others will say: “Who cares what people do behind closed doors?”
I have heard these statements being made by people who clearly don’t understand what they are up against.
This is the stage at which science kicks in to ‘prove’ that some people are born with an inherent attraction \”natural orientation\” towards animals and they cannot help themselves. Consequently, bestiality will be included in the UN Human Rights Charter and activists are given a new pursuit. Economic and travel sanctions will be used to twist the arms of nations that still forbid it.
Then we start hearing phrases like: “We cannot tell people whom they should love.”
The main purpose of this stage is to ensure that bestiality is legally accepted.
The next two steps are aimed at entrenching it at a social level.
The penultimate stage is ACCEPTANCE. At this stage bestiality becomes a conventional alternative way of living. All the outrage has since dissipated. This is the stage at which those still opposed to it are called BESTIAPHOBIC (the word will be coined) and they are considered antiquated, old-fashioned, intolerant, dogmatic, religious zealots, bigots…. you’ve heard all those words.
This is the stage at which there are bestiality rights parades in major cities.
Then we are reminded that the same book in the Bible that forbids bestiality also forbids eating pork. Then ‘intellectuals’ use that to rubbish the Word of God, and make it look ridiculous.
The final step is VENERATION. This is the stage at which the people who practice bestiality are praised. The liberalist media (which includes almost all international channels) subtly promotes them as ‘cool’, intelligent, exposed. That’s the stage at which celebrities ‘come out’ to reveal that they are ‘proud bestialists’.
Then bestiality begins to win fresh ‘converts’ every day, because many young people will do anything to be seen as ‘cool’ or to be associated with some Hollywood or football star. That is how you corrupt a whole society. That’s how previously unthinkable things like atheism and homosexuality and all other forms of sexual perversion have taken root in our society. Unfortunately, in Uganda, homosexuality has reached Stage four(Tolerance). But in the West, it has gotten to the veneration stage.
You have probably heard of the black homosexual American footballer who “made history by becoming the first footballer to come out”. What’s historical about someone proclaiming their perversion? So many other people are being lauded in the media for no other reason other than their homosexuality. Your mother may not be outdated after all. You may be deceived. The issue of tithes just started now and many gullible persons are buying it line, hook and sinker not knowing that, that will leave generations of some people in poverty.
- The Wheat and the Tares
Corruption will continually be exposed but the wicked world will not learn hence the Lord is sending a revival that exposes compromise and sin. It has been happening, but it will become noticeable in the days to come. People you thought were very deep and holy and were servants of God would suddenly be exposed and we will see the corruption. - Jesus will invade Many Lands
In 2018, the Lord says, \”My Kingdom is being established within different regions, cities and nations in a greater dimension. I am sweeping through the nations. Yes, My grace, My power and My love will be seen and felt in many of the nations of the earth. Get ready, get ready, get ready. Another wave of My grace and My glory is being poured out. This season you will see the dove of My presence moving and resting over nations. I will deal with the wickedness of the wicked. Greater outpourings of Holy Spirit will be seen in these days and seasons to come.\” A wicked man named Haman convinced King Artaxerxes to sign an order that allowed the killing of any Jew at any time. That evil decree brought “mar” — bitter tears. Mordecai went to the gate, where the law was made, and wept bitterly. This is enlightening because God and His angels are provoked by decrees —by evil government rulings, laws, or edicts and wicked covens.
- Miracles, Signs and Wonders-The falling of Mantles.
So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.\” 1 Kings 19:19
Elisha was being called by God to take the mantle of a prophetic father and advance! I so clearly hear the rumbling of revival in this hour. There is a transition that is taking place, and a generation of people are arising in the earth who long for the outpouring of the presence of God. There is going to be synergy of the young the old and middle age.
Word of the Lord: \”I Am Casting the Mantle of Supernatural Ministry Upon My People\”. We have read the books about the great healing ministers, powerful prophets and renowned revivalists who have gone on before us. When they died they left their mantles on earth waiting to be claimed and taken to the next level. It is time that this generation makes spiritual history! It is time that we have a fresh outpouring of power, miracles and awakening.
- Fasting and Prayer.
A full fast or a Daniel fast. Reflect on Samson. Had he fasted and put his body under control, he might have had the spiritual strength to avoid succumbing to the pressure of demonic Dagon spirits and temptation. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul states, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
- A Year to war with the evil eye and to break the power of evil watchers (if you don’t break that power, it will try to manipulate you). The evil-eye structure is embedded in our culture. It allows us to be manipulated by evil spirits. In Acts 13, Barnabas and Paul were hindered by Elymas the sorcerer. Paul prayed, and the Lord struck Elymas with blindness. Similarly, we can pray and ask the Lord to shut the eyes of the enemy so that we aren’t hindered. In 2 Kings 6, Elisha prayed for the eyes of his servant to be opened; that servant was then able to see the angelic army protecting them. Elisha prayed again and the enemy army was blinded.
- 2018 – A Year to Watch and Pray. There will be many upheavals! One after another! Disasters around the world and in many Nations. In some places as one is dying down another will be arising as we are already seeing! However, God will begin to release strategies to true leaders. Many strategies begin to be released at this time. God gives revelation to us through our leaders. Be sure to pray for your spiritual covering, as well as for the political leaders of your nation.
- A Year Of Many Personal Pressures But Watch Out (Eph. 4:26). Emotions have a fine line. If you cross that line, your whole soul gets damaged and the promise of God won’t manifest. In Ephesians 4:26–27 and Genesis 4:3-10, anger is equated with being demonized. Note the suddenness of anger. If we don’t learn how to process anger properly so that our emotions are under the Holy Spirit’s control, we will erupt and will fail when the test comes. “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry” (Eph. 4:26). Deal with your anger before nightfall. If you have a problem with anger, ask the Lord to help you deal with it. Also be sure to build yourself up by reading more of His word.
- It Is a Year To Pull Up All Evil Harvests. Command all evil records planted by the devil and your own mouth in any place against your advancement to be uprooted completely.
If you do not want your present type of harvest then this is the year to uproot the evil harvests, pull up the wrong plants you planted all your life. Make restitution and begin to plant good seeds again. It is not too late.
- God will move among the Youth.
“I have invested the power and authority of My Kingdom inside of My family, My sons and daughters. There is an awakening unto fullness, fullness of sonship, fullness of covenant, fullness of position and grace in Me, there is an awakening to the fullness of My power, My Kingdom that I have called you to carry. There is a banner of fire being cast over this generation, and I am raising up voices who will release My wind and My breath upon the embers in order to fan the flame. This generation is called and marked to burn for Me. This generation is called unto the supernatural.

Ayin Chet-5778-2017/2018
If you have ever had a difficulty opening a door in your house or in a hotel you will understand what this next 12 months is all about. You recognize that your destiny is on the other side of the door so you have to keep going wherever you have to go to get that door opened for a doorway into your future. You have to go wherever you have to go to redo the keys to gain access to the future. You are created for a purpose. We may not know what it is. You may not believe that it is possible to attain your purpose because of your present circumstances. You must understand that your life’s last chapter has not yet been written. Many people fail to arrive at their divine destination because they fail to understand the process. People have an experience with God and believe that God will insure that they arrive at his planned purpose for them. Yes and No! We have to be involved. There may be some hindrances along the way. ⁃ You have the power over the hindrances ⁃ We can arrive, and we must arrive.
There are two gates in Matt 16:18 1. The door to life and 2. the doorway to death. In Rev4:1 we see also a doorway to life. God leads to this door / gate to life. In Matt 16:18 there is a door to death and Jesus resurrection UNLOCKED the Door of death. ⁃ Jesus led the dead from OT times into life at his resurrection. In Matt 27: 45-46;50-54. We see first the sign of an eclipse-the earth was totally dark like August 21, 2017. There was also an earthquake and rocks were rent and “many bodies of the saints which slept arose. They were released from captivity. ⁃ It was the first Adam that led the way into the hades. Those that belong to the Lord were released from that doorway to death. Death and the grave are defeated by the resurrection. ⁃ Rev 1:17-18; John 10:9. We learn that this season of 5778 is a doorway: –
- The doorway of light from heaven. It is fresh word concerning Jesus being the light of the world and you being the light of the world. We will not be surprised if some of you and are opening the eyes of the blind. This can only be possible through the DOORWAY OF GRACE. The doorway of life. As marked by the blood of the lamb in Exo 12:7.
- The “Chet” word is wedding word hence love unifies in true fellowship as Jesus taught in John 17:22-23. This is a year that The COVENANT DOORWAY is important. In the next 12 months, it will of no benefit for you to be isolated. Marriage will be very important. Covenanting with God making binding relationships strong. Covenant means that God is committed to us and willing to lay down His life. We also must remember that our covenant partner is always there, and we must lay down our lives for Him. Loyal love is amplified at this time God will not fail and He is absolutely committed. It is the basis of faith (1 Chronicles 20:21). Covenantal connections will determine your future in coming seasons. David was a man who loved God and knew God, when he heard and saw Goliath he did not see a giant but a target for God almighty to bring down. David had nothing to boast of except in God.
- This is also a year of joy, of singing a new song. Please declare Psalms 8; Ps 29; and Ps. 68. The way to respond to revelation in this season to shout back praises to God. To testify of God’s revelation to us. We have to walk through the DOORWAY to WORSHIP in 5778. Praise God and draw your weapon and know that God is greater than the any enemy.
- We Must Be Prepared Because This Is Still A Season Of Warfare. There will be religious conflicts in many nations. There will be attempts in Nigeria to override the faith of many in Nigeria by her rulers. Nationalism will dominate the next election. Take up your armour and fight. Ephesians 6 and James 4 are very instructive on how to fight. Don’t say if “I don’t bother Satan he never bothers me”. The devil will try to destroy any one who is passive. “Chet is a military word- AMOR , SWORD, FORCE, ARMY, STRONG, VALIANT ARE WORDS ASSOCIATED WITH AYIN Chet (5778). Reject fear in your life. Revelation 21:8 is a serious warning. Jeremiah 29:11 is instructive, say with me: –
I recognize that, every day, I count myself as dead. I die to the things of the world. I die to the things of the flesh, but I am alive to God. I am dead to sin. SIN IS NOT MY FRIEND; it is my enemy. It is not to be coddled; it is to be resisted, even unto blood. Sin is death. It is bondage. It is not my master, and I am not its servant. I am God’s son, I am man’s servant, and I am the devil’s master. SO ALSO: POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DEATH. All power has been given unto Jesus, and therefore, since my life is hid in Christ, the authority and power of Jesus Christ is the power and authority that I walk in. It is not my authority. It is His authority, for it is no
longer I that live, but Christ who lives through me. The life that I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who lived and died and gave Himself for me.
- CHET REPRESENTS THE NUMBER 8- A NEW BEGINNING
– circumcision happens on the 8 day in the life of a boy-marking the beginning of his life
– there were 8 souls saved in the flood of Noah.
– the Lord re-affirms His covenant with Abraham 8 times.
– David was the 8th son of Jesse.
– the day of Pentecost was an 8th day festival ushering in the world to come.
– Jesus was resurrected on the 8th day.
– Discipleship to Jesus. Jesus is the crowned man who wields the sword of the Holy Spirit. We are
yoked with Jesus and are His disciples to walk and do like Him. Matt 11:28-30.
– the value of love –to move and work together-loving the Lord and one another.
The numeric value of Chet is 8 and the pictogram or shape behind Chet is a DOORWAY not only a Door. The doorway allows you to move from space to another space. The letter Chet points to Jesus as the sin bearer for us. He who knew no sin: – 2 Cor. 5:21. In Christ we crossover from death to life. Jesus is the only way to God. We have to give him our sin and He gives us His righteousness.
A doorway or entrance. Jesus said … \”I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.\” (John 14:6) The shape of the letter, according to the rabbis, is formed through a Vav ו and Zayin ז side by side. Note that the shape of the Vav ו (nail) and Zayin ז (Sceptre) are nearly identical. Joined together they form the entranceway to God. Vav (6) + Zayin (7) = total value 13 (Jesus is the cure for sin) Jesus is the connector between heaven and earth. Jesus is the King of kings. Jesus is also our sin-bearer. He paid for us. We give Him our sin. He gives us His righteousness. 8 represents resurrection life-new beginnings. We receive new life and we are born again in Christ. We enter into a covenant with God the promise of the forgiveness of our sin. Matt 26:28 Jesus: This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 8 is the number of new beginnings. Blood is the seal of God\’s covenant.
- JEHOVAH\’S COVENANTS WITH ABRAHAM were eight in number; seven before Isaac was offered up, and the eighth when he had been received \”in a figure\” from the dead.
- Gen 12:1-3, sovereignty. 2. Gen 12:7, the seed. 3. Gen 13:14-17, Divine assurance, rising and
walking on resurrection ground. 4. Gen 15:13-21, the limits of the land; the 400 years; the 4th generation. 5. Gen 17:1-22, invincible grace. 6. Gen 18:9-15, human failure and imperfection. 7. Gen 21:12, Spiritual blessing headed up in the seed. 8. Gen 22:15-18, resurrection blessing. The first three are marked off from the others by the words \”after these things,\” 15:1. The next four are marked off from the eighth by similar separating words, repeated in 22:1. It will be noted that each covenant blessing is stamped with the character of its numerical significance. Now we must learn these things. The fact many do not love God anymore (but want to use God for their own end) they do not study the word. Remember the covenant.
- 2. THE GRACE OF GOD KICKS IN 5778. DO NOT TAKE GOD’S GRACE FOR GRANTED.
FEAR GOD-EXODUS 21:23-25
There are eight particulars in connection with punishment; but seven stands in a different category, not being possible if the eighth were inflicted, viz., \”Life for life.\”
- EPHESIANS 4:4-6
Seven unities, but the seventh is two-fold—\”God and Father\”—making eight in all.
- COLOSSIANS 3:12, 13
There are seven graces, but (v 14) over all these there is \”love,\” which is the bond of perfectness, the upper garment which completes and unites the others.
- JAMES 3:17
\”The wisdom that is from above\” is enumerated in seven particulars, but the fifth is double, making eight in all (\”full of mercy and good fruits\”).
- THE CONSECRATION OF AARON AND HIS SONS was on the eighth day, after abiding
\”at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation day and night seven days\” (Lev 8:35, 9:1).
Looking at this season the number 5778 ends with 8. 8 is a dominion number so the Lord plans that you in your sphere of calling and influence. It is 7 plus 1. Hence it is the number specially associated with Resurrection and Regeneration, and the beginning of a new era or order. When the whole earth was covered with the flood, it was Noah \”the eighth person\” (2 Peter 2:5) who stepped out on to a new earth to commence a new order of things. \”Eight souls\” (1 Peter 3:20) passed through it with him to the new or regenerated world. Hence, too, circumcision was to be performed on the eighth day (Gen 17:12), because it was the foreshadowing of the true circumcision of the heart, that which was to be \”made without hands,\” even \”the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ\” (Col 2:11). This is connected with the new creation.
The first-born was to be given to Jehovah on the eighth day (Exo 22:29,30). But RESURRECTION is the great truth which is signified. Christ rose from the dead on \”the first day of the week,\” that was of necessity the eighth day.
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES lasted eight days, with a special reference to the Incarnation (John 1:14). Pray that His church will be raising the dead. If our translation happens in this season be sure you are not left behind.
THE TRANSFIGURATION also took place on the eighth day (inclusive reckoning) after the first announcement of Christ\’s \”sufferings,\” and it was the showing forth of the \”glory\” which should follow at His coming again. Don’t backslide if you encounter persecution 5778.
THE FIRST CUBE -Eight is the first cubic number, the cube of two, 2 x 2 x 2. We have seen that three is the symbol of the first plane figure, and that four is the first square. So here, in the first cube, we see something of transcendent perfection indicated, something, the length and breadth and height of which are equal. This significance of the cube is seen in the fact that the \”Holy of Holies,\” both in the Tabernacle and in the Temple, were cubes. In the Tabernacle, it was a cube of 10 cubits. In the Temple, it was a cube of 20 cubits. In Revelation 20 the New Jerusalem is to be a cube of 12,000 furlongs.
EIGHT IS A DOMINION NUMBER, for everywhere it has to do with the LORD. It is the number of His name, ΙΗΣΟΥΣ(Greek), Jesus: —
