MONDAY, DECEMBER 21

Today @ 11:42 p.m. is the first quarter moon

  • For those that use their bows to shoot arrows of calamities and catastrophes for blood shed for the purpose of human sacrifices to their gods, pray that God will heap evil upon them and spend His arrows upon them until they are wasted. (Deut. 32:23-24)
  • Pray that God should multiply the sorrows of those that hasten after other gods, offering them drink offerings of blood. (Ps 16:4).
  • Read Psalm 19:1-6 and pray that the sun, the moon and the stars will give praise to the Lord.

Today @14:30 UTC is the winter solstice

  • Solstices are opposite on either side of the equator, so the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere is the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere and vice versa.
  • The dates of maximum tilt of the Earth\’s equator to the sun correspond to the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and to the summer Solstice in the southern hemisphere. It is also a day when the sun is furthermost south so the daylight hours in the northern hemisphere are the shortest.
  • The opposite occurs in the Southern hemisphere. The winter solstice marks the first day of the winter season. It is the day of the longest night and the shortest day. That which is physically visible represents an even more real spiritual circumstance. While others may be partying during this season, for some people are going through the darkest stretch of their lives. You may be one of them, or your family, church or nation may be in this dark stretch. Pray that you will learn from the process.
  • Darkness has its uses. A baby who is in the womb needs that darkness in there to develop, you need darkness to develop negatives into a live picture, many things are manufactured in darkness so that they can manifest in the light.  Ask the Lord to help you learn every lesson that you need during the process
