Unwavering, Uncompromising Faith
Scripture: Luke 18:1-5
And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not
to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded
man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me
of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within
himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubles me,
I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
Luke 18:1-5 Notice verse 1 which says …that men ought always to pray, and not to
faint. The Amplified Bible translation says …that they ought always to pray and not to
turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). I don\’t know how it is in your prayer life,
but not everything I have ever prayed has manifested instantly I live continually
between \”amen\” and \”there it is.\” I thank God for those times when the answer to my
prayers is manifested immediately. But that does not happen very all the time. Much
more often I have to do what Paul said and …having done all, to stand. Stand
therefore…(Eph. 6:13,14). Paul also said, …let us not be weary in well doing for in due
season we shall reap, if we faint not (Gal. 6:9). If you and I exercise faith long enough
and \”faint not,\” then sooner or later \”due season\” always come.
