March derived its name from ancient Rome. It was then the first month of the year and named “Martius” after Mars, the Roman god of war. March is the first month of spring, the period when winter is ending and spring is beginning. The snow is thawing and plant life is beginning, birds are singing melodiously and the flowers are about to bud. It is a logical point for the beginning of the year.
Presently, it is the first (1st) month of the Jewish sacred calendar (the month Abib or Nissan) (Ex 12:2; Deut 16:1) “Abib” is a collective noun signifying “green ears of corn.” It is in this month the Passover feast occurred and on the fourteenth day, the sheaf of the first fruit of the harvest was waved to the Lord.
The month Abib marked the beginning of Israel’s new life as a nation when God delivered them from Egyptian slavery and bondage. They were released when the Lord passed over the Israelites as soon as he saw the blood of the lamb smeared on their doorposts, thus sparing them while killing Egyptian firstborns. This birthed the Passover, at the same time the Lord passed judgment against all the gods of Egypt (Ex.12:12).
The festival of the first month is a feast of hope and new life, and it commemorates the establishment of God’s covenant with Israel.
March is the seventh (7th) month according to Jewish civil calendar. It is the third (3rd) month following the Gregorian calendar. Diverse satanic attacks and influences occur in this particular month because March is named after Mars and is also identified with the Greek god of war – Eres, who exalts bloodshed and violence. Other names for Eres are the Avenger, the Slayer and the Curse. The spear is his emblem; the dog and vulture are his sacred animals.
Quirinus is a Sabine god of war, also identified with Mars. He was the god of the state of Rome and the father of Romus and Romulus who was the founder and first king of Rome.
The city of Rome celebrates her birthday on 21st March around the time of the Vernal Equinox.

Remember almost everything you require comes from the earth; whether food, minerals, buildings, etc. therefore it should be aligned with God’s purposes in order to be most productive.
