For He (GOD) Knows The Secrets Of The Heart
Scripture: Psalm 44:10-22
As the adversity rises and victory seems far removed, everyone in the situation of Psalm 44 begins to look for a personal failure that would cause such lack of covenantal fulfilment. In verse 17 they begin to go down the list, “All this has come upon us; But we have not forgotten You, Nor have we dealt falsely with Your covenant. Our heart has not turned back, Nor have our steps departed from Your way; But You have severely broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death. If we had forgotten the name of our God, Or stretched out our hands to a foreign god, Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.” They said, “Well, its not because we are lukewarm, its not because we are complacent, its not because we are covenant breakers, its not because we are rebellious, neither have we backslidden, its not because of idolatry. After looking under every rock and behind every tree to find out what sin it could be that we committed, which removed God’s victory, the conclusion in verse 22 is, “Yet for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” What could God gain out of our adversity? That is a question that has to be answered in every generation and should come into focus preceding a kai-ros of favor.

Pray for yourself and others around you to gain this favour from the Lord. This time must not pass you by.
