By Their Fruits, You Will Know Them
Scripture: Matthew 7:17-20
This is the Word that develops and educates our discernment. Our discernment grows if we apply this. These verses say, “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits, you will know them.”
What people say is not nearly as important as what people do. We look at the fruit of what they do. We look at the condition of the fruit. We look at the condition of the people who actually believe them and act on their words. That is the fruit.
