How did our nation get in such a mess?
Scripture: Matthew 7:21-23

How did our nation get in such a mess? We probably won’t like the answer! Matthew 7:21-23
is a very interesting passage many often wonder what it means? It is the pronouncement of
the Lord Jesus Christ that many on the Judgment Day will look at Him and say, “Lord, we
belong in the kingdom.” But He will look at them and say, “I don’t know you.” They will
say, “We prophesied in Your name, we cast out demons in Your name and have done many
wonders in Your name.” And Jesus said, “…then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” How is it we can call ourselves Christians
and continually vote for people who violate the eternal covenant of God and support the
destruction of our nation. How strong is the covenantal power of the vote? What will we say
if the Lord speaks Matthew 7:21-23 to them because they supported candidates that brought
destruction to the land. We need to realize how serious God is about His word. He is serious
about the covenantal power of the vote and it’s time the Church decided whether we’re
a kingdom of priests.
Prayer: reflect on this scenario and pray for the church: The first thing Jesus did was look at
the storm on the lake and said, “Peace, be still.” He didn’t address whether He cared that
they were fearful until after, saying in verse 40, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you
have no faith?” Their unbelief is what created a place for fear, and God is always looking for
faith. When He said, “Peace, be still,” He released the Kingdom from within, with His
spoken word. His word created a platform and/or conduit for the Kingdom to be established.

Pray that we will be able to release the kingdom in our nations in Jesus\’ Name.
