The level which we set is the level at which we are tested by God.

Scripture: Genesis 15:9-16

God came to Abram with an answer in verse 13, “Know certainly that your descendants will
be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four
hundred years.” God was not offended by Abram’s demand to know that what He promised
would come to pass. God had promised other things and they had not come to pass and
Abram started this discourse out by telling God that very thing. So Abram is the one who sets
the level of covenant at which he wants to do business with God. And he says, “I’m sorry but
Your word is not good enough. I want to know.” God’s answer to Abram’s demand to know
needs to be in a measure our answer. God’s answer was the initiation of what we now
know as a covenant. God extended the covenant to Abram. The Bible is the story of two
covenants – the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Within the covenant, we have a right to
set the level of relationship at which we’re going to know the Lord. The level which we set is
the level at which we are tested by God. We need to understand that. Many of us have not
understood the origin of adversity ever-present when we asked God to give us a nation in
repentance.
Pray- until you understand this revelation shared today. Then set your level likewise.
