- Many bible commentators have always noted that Jacob was crooked and that he labored for 7 years for Rachel and then another seven years- plus change of salary ten times. Jacob had a quality and that is , if Jacob had an objective he was ready to follow it up for the next 20 years to see it come through! If Jacob knew he would become heir to the throne he was ready doing anything to get to his goal. The Bible says that “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” God is called “the God of Jacob” not the God of Esau! “For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” Jacob had the quality of being a man of purpose. How would a man hold firm for 14 years just to get married to a woman he loved! All great leaders base their leadership upon a definite chief aim.
- The woman with the issue of blood press through the crowd to her objective. When she started through the crowd everybody stood aside and made a way for her. If she had shown hesitation and was undecided what she wanted like many in that mass, the crowd would have step on her and she would have been complaining about her injuries!
