Move Toward The Goal With The Destination Ever Before You And Continually Calling Forth The Vision Of What You Are Believing For, Keeping It Ever Before You

Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18.

The perseverance we are encouraged to display with our intercession is from the Greek word pros-kar- ter-ay-sis. It means to be steadfast or continue steadfastly, to give constant attention to, or to be devoted. For all those who are trying to birth the purposes of God and have given themselves to it continually over the preceding decades, this is the spiritual grease that keeps the wheels moving. Pros-kar-ter-ay-sis as used in Ephesians 6:18 is a derivative of pros-kar-ter-eh-o. Pros-kar-ter-eh-o means to be diligent, to attend assiduously, or to wait on patiently. Pros-kar-ter-eh-o is a compound word which comes from pros which is a preposition of direction. It means to move forward or to move toward the goal with the destination ever before you. The other half of the compound is kar-eh-o which means to call aloud or to dig, to call forth. So pros- kar-ter-eh-o is the continual calling forth of the vision of what you are believing for, keeping it ever before you. Have you been so discouraged you’ve abandoned the vision? Is-koos has a resurrecting affect when a believer is in the pit.

PRAYER

Godly Wisdom in the Affairs of Life

Wisdom guards me because I love, highly prize, and exalt her; she will bring me to honour because I embrace her. She gives to my head a crown of glory. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honour.  Jesus has been made unto me wisdom, and in Him are all the treasures of [divine] wisdom and [all the riches of spiritual] knowledge and enlightenment. God has hidden away sound and godly wisdom and stored it up for me, for I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  When I walk in paths of uprightness, my steps shall not be hampered — my path will be clear and open; and when I run I shall not stumble. I take fast hold of instruction and do not let her go; I guard her, for she is my life. I let my eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and my gaze is straight before me. I consider well the path of my feet, and all my ways are established and ordered aright.  Father, in the name of Jesus, I look carefully to how I walk! I live purposefully, worthily, and accurately — not as unwise and witless, but as a wise, sensible, intelligent person. I make the very most of my time — buying up every opportunity.
