Suddenly we realize the ways of the Lord dictate that to the very same level we demand

to know God – God comes back and tests us at that level

Scripture: Genesis 22

In Genesis 22 we see just as Abram demanded to know God would bring to pass what was
promised, God reserved the right to test Abram at the same level of fulfillment Abram was
demanding from God. We see that in Genesis 22 when God tells him to take Isaac, his only
son, up the mountain and sacrifice him. This becomes clear in verses 10-12 because Scripture
says, “Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the Angel of the
Lord called to him from heaven and said, ‘Abraham, Abraham!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’
And He said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that
you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son your only son, from Me.’” Suddenly we
realize the ways of the Lord dictate that to the very same level we demand to know God –
God comes back and tests us at that level. This principle continues to this very day. This
principle we find throughout the Bible and therefore if we are going to enter into the Throne
Room as priests, demanding the anointing to turn the captivity of a nation, we must
understand it does not come free – there is a price.
Pray you will find grace to pass your tests. And the price we encounter is set by the level of
what we ask. Asking for great authority and anointing – guarantees great adversity and
testing.
