  • This is a season of gathering properly amongst the Jewish people both in Israel and in the diasporas (Deuteronomy 26:1-11). It is a season of the spring feasts.
  • During the Passover, Unleavened Bread and First-fruits, the people remember their liberation as a nation from slavery in Egypt and the “independence” season as they plundered Egypt to begin the exodus. It is a season they recall how they turned from a motley crew of nomadic wanderers in the wilderness, to an organized formidable nation which has remained strong in the face of greatest opposition and attempted decimation.
  • It is a season when they pray for the coming of their Messiah even though this is a vain expectation as He has already come and is rather waiting for them to recognize and accept Him whom they pierced.
