A Generational Faith
Scripture: Genesis 9:8,9
And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you.
Notice here\’s how God thinks. He doesn\’t think in terms of one generation. He is a visionary. He thinks in terms of multiple generations. Most of the time in the Bible you will find God speaking in terms of at least three generations: \”I am the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob.\” I believe the reason is this: once a lifestyle is adopted by at least three consecutive generations of people, there is a strong likelihood that it will be perpetuated. If God can get me to live by faith and my children to live by faith, and my children\’s children to live by faith, it is likely that from now until Jesus comes, the Lawon household will be people of faith. God\’s plan was for Noah to father and foster faith in his children and his grandchildren so God could preserve a lineage of faith on the earth.

Developing Healthy Friendships
Father, I know that Your love and friendship are expressed through my relationship with You and members of the Body of Christ. Help me to find the friendships, companionship, and fellowship You have ordained for me.
According to Proverbs 27:17 CEV, iron sharpens iron, so friends sharpen the minds of each other. As we learn from each other, may we find a worthy purpose in our relationship. Keep me well-balanced in my friendships, so that I will always please You rather than pleasing other people.
I ask for divine connections — good friendships ordained by You. Thank You for the courage and grace to let go of detrimental friendships. I ask and receive, by faith, discernment for developing healthy relationships. Your Word says that two are better than one, because if one falls, there will be someone to lift that person up. Father, You know the hearts of people, so I won’t be deceived by outward appearances. Bad friendships corrupt good morals. Thank You for quality friends who help me build a stronger character and draw me closer to You.
