God does not want us disqualifying ourselves
-1 Corinthians 6:12-18, Hebrews 10:26-27

It is clear in this passage that God does not want us to disqualify ourselves once we’ve been
Blood- bought, covenantally-secured and Holy Spirit guaranteed. There are a few things we
cannot afford to participate in. Sexual immorality is one of them. Verses 12-18 major on the
fact that we are Blood-bought. We have been members of Christ. We have been joined to the
Lord. We become one Spirit with Him, therefore we must honor that status. Every sin that a
man commits is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own
body. It is obvious that many in our nations no longer think the way God thinks concerning
this issue of sexual sin. For many it is considered no big deal, however, it is not that way to
God. To God, it is a very big issue, and we cannot afford to minimize it! The doctrine of
Balaam is manifestly destroying our Christian heritage and polluting the church until we risk
being in a place where there is no more sacrifice for sin! Hebrews 10:26-27 states, “For if we
sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a
sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which
will devour the adversaries.” To violate our covenant cleansing by Christ’s Blood guarantees
swift judgment. God takes covenant cleansing seriously as the death of Ananias and Sapphira
prove. How close are we to a judicial manifestation of like manner?
