Never has a generation of children been so assaulted with abortion, internet access to pornography, drugs, witchcraft

Scripture: Matthew 21:1-7

This passage brings us to a second dimension where giving birth takes all of the pros-kar-ter-eh-o we can muster. It is the parallel passage of Luke 19. But here in Matthew 21 we find it wasn’t just one colt on whom no one had ever sat, but verse 22 says, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.” Verse 7 says, “They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.” Jesus rode two animals into Jerusalem. The second one was unique because it was unbroken. Years ago the Lord said, “If you will walk before Me in integrity you can help raise up a generation that does not have to be broken like you did.” Never has a generation of children been so assaulted with abortion, internet access to pornography, drugs, witchcraft, and the promotion of homosexuality. A flood of promiscuity, resulting in the long-term devastation of teenage pregnancies and a twelve-fold increase in sexually transmitted diseases is their generational testimony. An educational system that teaches humanism in which there is no God, and a barrage of television that literally kills motivation torments them daily! Those who have set their hearts to impact the next generation with the things of God have experienced a full measure of the enemy’s flood. Birthing the following generation into the things of God demands pros-kar-ter-eh-o in great measure.

PRAYER

Overcoming Discouragement

Lord, I have exhausted all my possibilities and have found that I am powerless to change my situation. I believe; help me overcome my unbelief. All things are possible with You. I humble myself before You, and You will lift me up. Jesus, my great High Priest, has gone through the heavens, and I hold firmly to the faith I profess because He sympathizes with my weaknesses. He was tempted in every way, just as I am—yet was without sin. I approach Your throne of grace with confidence, so that I may receive mercy and find grace to help me in my time of need.
