The Attitude of Paul – A Steadfast Refusal To Merchandise God’s People.

Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18, Romans 13:1-4

One manifestation of the powers we wrestle against in v. 12 emerges from an out-of-control
government. The authority or government of Romans 12 must be impacted, or we slowly
lose our freedom to preach the gospel. While the Bible clearly exhorts to love the sinner, it
also proclaims God’s judgment on any nation who promotes perversion. The radical
homosexual agenda is now a front-burner issue because of perverse nations legislating from
high places. Ex-oo-see-ah is the Greek word translated authority in Romans 13. The
character issue necessary to birth and hold ex-oo-see-ah is faithfulness with money, or
victory over mammon. For leadership, it is the attitude of Paul – a steadfast refusal to
merchandise God’s people. Character counts with God. He will not hesitate in spending a
lifetime developing a role model for generational impartation.
