Scripture: Zechariah 12:5-9

What do we, the faithful saints, look like in that season? Zechariah 12:5-9 says, “And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts, their God like the Angel of the LORD before them. It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.’ In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place—Jerusalem. The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God.” How is that for the ultimate judgment of God? When was this initiated? This is the covenant celebration we call communion or Passover.

  • Ask God to forgive believers of prayerlessness which make many to utter unguided statements and make ungodly suggestions.
  • As a kingdom citizen, your security is to pray without ceasing concerning all areas of governance. In this season, the governance of your territory could easily go in either way; in the way of the Lord or in the way of the kingdom of darkness.
  • Ask the Lord to help you in your prayer life so that you will pray according to His pattern concerning the leaders of your territory at every level. Ensure you enthrone the will of God in your prayer life concerning government, governance and leadership.
  • Pray that the Lord will remove those who may lead your territory astray and to raise those who will guide the nation into its redemptive destiny; despite your personal preferences. (1 Th 5:17)
