- Establishment, by the Lord as an agent of salvation
Scripture: Exodus 19:11; Genesis 18
The third step in the process of being “ready” is being established by the Lord as an agent of
salvation. Abraham found himself in a place where God revealed (a secret source code for
effective intercession) a judgment about to fall on Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot, a family
member, is there. Abraham interpreted the revelation that is the source code and began to
intercede on Lot’s behalf before the Lord for his salvation. This process of intercession is a
back and forth between God and Abraham until he gets Him down to ten righteous promises
He will not destroy it. This is how to be a priest. It is changing the destinies that are already
vandalized or those about to be vandalized. How would such people know if there were no
priests? Of course, God doesn’t find ten in this secret pact, but what He does do is what
Abraham proclaimed in the beginning. Abraham said, “Far be it from You to do such a thing
as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked;
far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Abraham interceded until
God’s intervention brought salvation to Lot and his family. Yet in the process, we discover
what living in perversion did to the family. The process of living there brought them all into a
measure of the perversion around them. Abraham found himself being established as an agent
of salvation. Abraham found himself having access to secrets and codes nobody knew. He
had knowledge about the family member who was about to perish and didn’t know? Will God
transport us urgently to sites or homes of family members for their salvation as we find out
secrets in the heart of God for these people? Are you willing to lay down your life to be a
priest?
Prayer: Ask God to ordain you Himself. And as you go, preach, saying, “The kingdom of
heaven is at hand.” Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely
you have received, freely give (Matthew 10:7-8). As a disciple of Jesus today, you are
destined for these experiences in your life as well. Just because you may not be in a pulpit
preaching Sunday to Sunday or traveling in an itinerant ministry doesn’t exclude you from
this mandate in your life
