Scripture: Genesis 6:6

What can we say about God concerning the issue of relationship? What is the intent of His heart concerning personal relationship with us? Genesis 6:6 says, “ And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” What brought such great grief to the heart of God? The Hebrew word is aw- tsab – it means to carve, cut or wound. Only great relationship, when it’s broken, gives great grief. Scripture itself seems to thunder out in a great neon spiritual sign the truth of the fact that God demands relationship with His creation. The loss of that relationship brought great grief. If the loss of relationship brought great grief – what would the restoration of relationship bring? And what would God do in order to bring that restoration? Is it any wonder that Jesus said, “For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame….”

====PRAYER====

Father, in the name of Jesus, I am of good courage. I ask You to grant me all boldness that I might speak forth Your Word. I receive freedom of utterance that I may proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news of the Gospel — that I may declare it boldly as I ought to do. Father, I believe I receive that boldness now in the name of Jesus. Therefore, I have boldness to enter into the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus. Because of my faith in Him, I dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access — an unreserved approach to You with freedom and without fear. I draw fearlessly, confidently, and boldly near to Your throne of grace where I receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for my every need. I am bold to pray in Jesus Name
