Ruth followed her counsel, and they were blessed
Ruth 2:17-23
Ruth gleaned in the field and returned with grain for she and Naomi. When she set an abundant supply before Naomi, Naomi questioned her about where she had gleaned. In verse 19 she said, “Where have you gleaned today? And where did your work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you.” So she told her mother-inlaw that it was Boaz. “Then Naomi said to her daughter in-law. Blessed be the Lord, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!’ And Naomi said to her, ‘This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives.’” Naomi instructed Ruth to stay in Boaz’s fields. Ruth followed her counsel, and they were blessed. Naomi saw the provision of God. God had honored Ruth’s heart and exemplary character, and He had brought them both provision in their return to Israel, and Naomi’s home. Now the question was, where would God take them from here?
