The initial primary need for all who join a new family is acceptance! This attribute that follows the adoption as described in verse 6 of Sonship is acceptance. The Greek word translated accepted is only used 3 times in the entire New Testament and the first time it is used is in the angelic greeting to Mary. The angel Gabriel declared khar-ee-too-o to Mary, “Rejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Why did Mary receive one declaration of favour and you and I get two? Ephesians 1:6 says, “to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” The Greek reads khar-ee- too-o, khar-ee-too-o. It is called the double, back-to-back(.
