Isn\’t it amazing what God will do when we know Him? Do we really know Him?
Scripture: Genesis 17:15-22

In verses 15 through 22 we find God dealing with Abraham on the issue of loss. And Abraham is crying out that he is not willing to lose Ishmael – wouldn\’t God substitute Ishmael for Isaac, the promise. God says “No.” But He also says something else. He says, in verse 20, “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall
beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.” What do we find God doing because of relationships? He is blessing Ishmael based on relationship with Abraham and Ishmael is going to be
the chief resistance to Isaac, Abram\’s seed. God honors His relationship with Abraham even
to the multiplication of adversity for the chosen seed. What does relationship produce when we
really know God? Well, depending on what we want – it can produce more pain for our
kids. Isn\’t it amazing what God will do when we know Him? Do we really know Him?

*Pray that God will help you to understand what magnitude of authority He has vested in you as a kingdom citizen in that place He has allowed you to be. Pray this for your local church, and the church in the nation
*If all of God\’s authority is in the church – and the nations are in turmoil, then there is something wrong with the governors of the earth.
*Ask the Lord to visit the church one more time, and bring circumstances that will rock us into a realization that we are His government, the nations depend on us to steer them in the right direction.
