The Curse on the Man
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. “……… (Gen 3:17-19).
Paul the Apostle, wrote in 1 Tim 2:14: “And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression.” The woman was deceived, but Adam knew what he was doing when he chose to sin, which is far more sinister. History testifies that even if women may be more prone to being deceived than men, men may know that something is evil and still do it. The great evils that have been done in the world were almost all done by men. In general, men may have the discernment to know that something is wrong, but women have the heart to refuse to do wrong if they know it. The Lord so composed men and women that they need each other if they are to stay on the path of life.
- Today is children day in Nigeria.
- Pray that our children will increase in wisdom and stature and grow in the favor of God and men.
- Pray that our sons will be as plants grown up in their youth.
- Pray that our daughters will be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace (Psalms 144:11-12).
- Pray that Joel 2:28 shall be fulfilled in the lives of our children.
