What happened to me was God’s doing!
Genesis 45:1-5
In Genesis 45:1-5 we are told, “Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, “Make everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it. And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.” The dismayed brothers couldn’t answer because they faced their guilt. When they came near they didn’t receive judgment, they received redemption. “And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.” What a statement! Joseph was, in effect, saying, what happened to me was God’s doing! Can we say that? Kenneth Hagin was near death with sickness as a child. In the midst of that experience God taught him faith. In order for him personally to carry an anointing to heal the sick, he had to wrestle with sickness for several years before the Word healed him! How many times have we seen that happen, over and over again! It happens with a variety of bondages. God sets people up to be redeemers by letting them taste the need for redemption. Joseph just walked this pattern and he declared it. Instead of judgment his brothers received redemption. Are we living the pattern that Joseph lived? Is it possible that we may yet see a healing or deliverance so that we can fulfill our destiny as believers? It is time we start looking at how God operates and accept that it may be happening to us. What does this scripture tell you about God? What does this scripture tell you about man? Since this is God’s word what changes do I need to make in my life? Whom am I going tell or share with?
- Kippur (Day of Atonement) – sundown September15 to sundown September 16, 2021.
- Day of Atonement [Yom Kippur] is a day which Jesus fulfilled by His final sacrifice on Calvary. Pray that in this season, the Ecclesia will recognize the need to reach the nations with the Great Commission to fulfill the purpose for which Jesus fulfilled this feast.
- Pray that many Jewish people who observe religiously this season oblivious to the fact that Jesus has already fulfilled this feast on the Cross, will receive a visitation of the risen Jesus as they seek Him in their observances and ignorance.
- The other part of the prophetic fulfillment of this day is an eschatological event when Jesus will be at-one with His bride. Pray that you and kingdom citizens in your territory will develop a desire and longing for the coming of Jesus and thus be prepared for our Bridegroom and we will not be like the 5 foolish virgins who were unprepared.
